Wine on Blade

So I was flipping my 51 last night when I lost control. It flew out of my hand and hit a glass filled with red wine. I noticed this morning that it looks like the wine stained my blade. I can't get the stain out! Any suggestions??

Re: Wine on Blade

Thats why you shouldn't drink and flip, could've been an innocent bystander :P on a serious note I was thinking you could probably buff it out???????
Seriously though if you wanted advice on how to fight.... go with the Bitch Slap as he won't be expecting that and it would be funny as fuck.

no idea, I would wait and see if other people agree and if so they would be more help to you!I have no experience with buffing but if i had to do it myself id go with a very fine polishing compound so your knife doesn't look worse than you started off! do some research and see if any one has had any similar situations! best of luck!

Re: Wine on Blade

It's metal. Just try polishing it. Or maybe what I do for rust might work? Try putting some WD-40 on some steel wool and rub the blade. You'll need to sharpen it afterwards probably, 'cuz steel wool killsthe edge, but it works for rust. Other than that, yeah, I would just try polishing it.

Re: Wine on Blade

New idea:

Soak the whole blade in wine and roll around with your awesome new wine-stain custom blade. A look you won't find elsewhere.

Re: Wine on Blade

Use metal polish such as Metal glo, Flitz, Mother's mag. Once you are done, clean it up with alcohol.

Re: Wine on Blade

After reading about steel wool I would probably seek out advise from someone who's not a smurf.

Re: Wine on Blade

Thanks for the input. It will be a couple of days due to work schedule before I can get to a store. Did a little research and someone suggested soaking in vinegar but I think that the acidity would be to harsh on the blade. Your thoughts?

Re: Wine on Blade

To be honest, I've never heard of using vinegar to clean the blade. If you want to use steel wool, use the finest grade available, but I've no guarantee that it will not change its appearance. As mentioned, metal polish such as flitz, metal glo, mother's mag (maybe) are usually recommended to polish out the blade. Just a couple of dollars from a local hardware store or from ebay.
