Modeling the Secondary Bali Market (BM 42 Numbers inside)
I'm building a price guide as a personal project and have been weary releasing the info for the public because of the amazing amount of effort it takes to obtain the information sometimes. I'd say more than half of sales threads get the final sale price hidden. I get the idea people don't want it to be tracked........who knows.
But, for grins, here's a sample of what I've been working on!!
BM 42 Spring Latch/154CM: (Not any other varient of blade, style, or latch included)
Sample Size: 18
Avg Listing Price: $371.32
Avg Selling Price: $363.75
Avg Length of Time [day:hrs:min]: [01:09:17]
Other interesting notes:
So Far....
-This BM 42 Variant's selling value is $83.75 higher than it's last known Retail price Point.
-The Selling Value is almost spot on with the Production Alpha Beast
- 16.7% were sold Here
- 38.9% were sold on the JD
- 38.9% were sold on Blade Forums
- 11.1% were sold on Knife Forums
I could spit off more stats, but I think they might be skewed because the sample size isnt very big yet. I have records of all mainstream production/mid tech balis that have been sold. Hopefully after a longer period of time I'll have better results!
If people are interested in this, let me know, I'll continue crunching the numbers I currently have!
Just started flipping? Hard to find decent Balis in the $30-$60 range? The Search Ends Here!
Don't hold out for a BM42! Take that $400+ you are planning on spending and go get in line for an Alpha Beast! You won't be disaponted!
