Well you're still a smurf, you should probably work yourself up to one anyway. Otherwise it's like handing an impreza wrx to a new driver. You'll jack it up really quickly.
I only buy to flip, even though I'm not terribly great since I haven't had a whole lot of time to flip between work and school. My kimmy is in acceptable condition, and my oldest 51 is pretty rough. My second just needs some sharpening and my new one is still practically a virgin. My DDR though almost never gets flipped, too blade heavy.
Mine was my Typhoon kit that was sitting on a shelf for five years, unopened, unassembled and unmilled. Thanks to Jason, it is now complete and is a beauty! (I will post pics soon).
