Save $50 more up and buy a good Benchmade 51 for $150 on the secondary market or a Bear Ops B-200 for $100 on bladehq.com I warn you about the bear ops they are better than their bear and sons line of balis but they will still have flaws.

You can find them on the market section here sometimes or on jerzeedevil.com if you buy on jerzeedevil be sure to introduce yourself first otherwise you may get banned there is an introduction section there like the one we have here.

Re: what balisong should I buy?

I personally have a kimura 5 and it is a great knife ive had no problems with it and would extremely recommend it but its all about personal preference the kimura is i think 5.2 oz so it is a little heavier but its easier to go from a heavier bali to a light one than a light one to a heavy one so keep that in mind the 51 is extremely light (around 3.4 oz i think) and a great flipper from what ive heard
Both are great knives and should have no problems but my kimura can take a beating if need be and i dont own a 51 so i cant vouch for it much but i know i would recommend a kimura over any bear ops or bear and sons knife
hope i helped its your personal preference to decide what knife to get heavier or lighter but whatever you choose dont forget to loctite it when you get it no matter what
Flip till you bleed. Literally.

flipping a kimura will worlds better than a bear and sons but they are handle heavy so chaplins will be very hard.

Hmm yeah probably but it is going to be different no matter what bali you get you will have to get used to it.

Re: what balisong should I buy?

true. i cant disagre there but i thing i will be easy because my bali weighs the same as a kimura so i think the swith will be easyer. the only worry i have with the kimura is if the handles are to light

Re: what balisong should I buy?

The kimura is going to be more handle heavy where as I believe the 114 is pretty evened out so its something to think about.

You appear to have missed the "What knife should I get?" Sticky thread right above this one. Don't make unneccessary threads like this.

I'll say this, if you're not going to get a BBBarfly, a Kimura, or a 51, then refer to my sig! :TU:

Just started flipping? Hard to find decent Balis in the $30-$60 range? The Search Ends Here!

Don't hold out for a BM42! Take that $400+ you are planning on spending and go get in line for an Alpha Beast! You won't be disaponted!
