Machine GUn Effect

I've seen that phrase thrown around a lot here recently on multiple balison videos.

Usually it's on a video where, apparently, someone is flipping the knife very fast, but someone calls it a Machine Gun Effect.

What does this mean?!!?

I have seen called a trick were the guy makes double bali. He repeats a simple trick multiple times with both hands and with half a trick shift between the hands.

O ok gotcha.

So it's more of an illusion than a trick, eh?
