End of Helix Help

Okay so I have a trainer blade (not allowed to have a real one yet) and I can do the Helix now, but I have some concerns about the end of the move. About half the time I do the move, I don't feel what would be the blade hitting my fingers. The other half of the times I do the Helix, I feel metal lightly or not so lightly hit my fingers when I do the wrist flick thing at the end and I'm worried it will cut me when I get a sharp balisong. Any tips you guys have for me about the end of the Helix?

Re: End of Helix Help

Depends on how shard the knife is, although you'll eventually get the timing down so that it will never hit

Re: End of Helix Help

Vincent Dark has a couple of methods in his Helix tut here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyoHPbo6KMQ
I personally flick it up without rebounding, once you get the timing done it isnt too bad.

Perhaps when you get your blade you can practice zen rolls a bit slower till you feel more confident and build it up from there :TU:
