charlie chaplin finger pains...
Hey Guys,
I've been having some issues with Chaplins when I'm using my BM46 (spear point blade style). Obviously there's only one side sharpened but the blade profile lends itself to a pretty thin spine. The spine itself isn't that big of a deal, the part that gets me is the "U" shaped indentation at the tang end of the blade. Being a spear, the indentation is essentially mirrored and the edge of that indentation is pretty sharp. I find it really hard to chaplin with the knife because of this. So I guess, i'm wondering if there's something I may be doing wrong, should the spine of the knife be constantly contacting the finger i'm using to chaplin? Or is it just simply a case that painful chaplins are a check mark in the 'cons' column of this blade style.
Thanks guys
