I don't want to start a whole other thread, this should fit nicely here. Being a hunter, archery is a skill a hugely admire and I dig watching videos showing off skills with a bow. This dude calls himself "the whip archer" and he's pretty fuckin' bad-ass IMO. He is no slouch with a bow, putting out candles and shooting through washers, even shoots the head off a mushroom, but he cracks a mean whip too . Cracks a 140 footer, puts out candles behind his back with a mirror, he even whips arrows in flight clean out of the air. he's got a bunch of vids, but here's a good one displaying what he can do. much to this guy, it takes lots of practicing to build up this kind of control.

I've done archery for about 6-7 years with a recurve bow pretty much the same as that guy an i have to say this dude is awesome
I may even dust off my bow an get some practice now the weather is improving, truly inspiring

that one is 9 feet long with a 12" handle. I wouldn't want to crack it all day, it's heavier than the shorter ones, but it lets out one hell of a BANG!

ok dude, seriously, what have you done to me?
im now going to turn into indiana jones' fat stupid cousin....
in the little time i have had to play with the thing, i have gotten much more comfortable with it, and can now do the cattlemans crack, and the overhead crack fairly well. now im going to go stand outside at 3 in the morning fuckig with this thing.....the nieghbors must think im nuts. still cant get teh figure eight, but im working on it. the flick is kind of tricky too.

oh yeah, and i also bent the shit out of the antenna on my truck.....hahahahahaha

Thanks for the kind words bro, it's not the nicest looking one I've made but it's still fun to crack. They are pretty addicting aren't they. Just something about making loud noises for no specific reason that is fun to do.
As for the figure eight, this is harder to explain in writing than with a visual. When your are doing the crack behind you,(I'm guessing this is the problem area) instead of just throwing it straight out like the front crack, give a good scooping motion back towards the front. Pretend like you are drawing the loop on top of a number eight with the handle. It's all in the scoop

ok, that actually makes sense.
i think i pretty much have the tazmanian cutback down, and i can go into the overhead with it, but just not many times so far. i also think i pretty much have the snake killer basically down now, and im getting better at the underhand flick. once i have some fun money again, im going to have to commission you to make me a couple more...lol (after i find a 42 of course.....lol)
