Re: Cubes

Over the past 3 years or so I've acquired a collection of about 50 cubes, but I love solving all sorts of different ones and they're definitely not all 3x3's
if you just want to screw around with a 3x3 or go for speedcubing then you don't need to get too many, but it's a good idea to start out with a kind of crappy one just to learn and once you get faster then buy a speedcube (ask around on the twistypuzzle forums for help finding a good one)
you also want to buy some lube for it (silicone works wonders)
but it really all depends on what you want to do with cubing

Re: Cubes

I used to do cubes before I picked up a bali. Now my cubes are gathering dust in the corner.

My best time was ~30 seconds. I also was able to do a rubik's cube blindfolded, but I can't anymore.

Here is a link to me having a time of ~28 sec. I had the TV running in the background so you could compare the speed of the cube to the sound of the TV as proof of me not speeding up the video. This is a completely unedited video uploaded straight from my iPad2. Now you can believe it. The cube is a brand new Dayan Ling-Yun speed cube that I assembled today.

I stand corrected :)
looking back it was an uneducated comment
