Looking to Buy: BM4x

All I own at this point to flip with is a Cold Steel Arc-Angel and I'm really looking for a Benchmade model knife to throw around.

I've flipped a BM42 once in my life and liked it but any BM model will do.

If anyone has a BM to spare you can get in touch with me by e-mail me at sickoftheists at hotmail dot com or of course the almighty PM.

Re: Looking to Buy: BM4x

well, just got to the benchmade site, and look for local dealers

I have to travel to another country to get one :D

and spyderflies are nice, but very heavy, my brother sometimes borrows his bm 42 to me, and that convinced me to get such a knife, do the same thing

So...do you live in the US or not?

I've been looking for a Spyderfly recently...just to have. But I'm sure a BM is much nicer to flip.

Re: Looking to Buy: BM4x

Feenx, I'm from Tennessee also, so I may be able to help! :D

Great Smoky Mountain Knife Works has some 42's, believe it or not.. It shouldn't be too terribly hard to find, it's somewhere between where I live and Gatlinburg, I believe.. I know it's quite a drive, but you're unlikely to be able to find another in TN. =\ It won't be listed on their website, but trust me.. unless I picked up the last one, they have 'em.

Keep in mind that we're probably the only flippers in our state willing to dish out the cash for one..meaning, there's no telling how long they've been sitting there. Mine was really stiff in the latch and one of the pins disappeared while I was washing it off one day.. So, I'm probably sending it in to BM for repairs.. But, their asking price is $220 without tax, so be prepared. If you need the number, feel free to contact me. Ask to be transferred to the BM people and just keep throwing out various names... It took me 4 tries before the guy behind the counter found the knife. =\

Hope this helped!

I'm originally from Grainger County, but now I'm living in Lenoir City... it's not far off from Knoxville.. Gatlinburg is about a 30-45 minute drive from here, but you'd hit GSMKW before you get there, so maybe 15 minutes.. Kinda near the Bass Pro Shop if I'm not mistaken.. Not sure if that helps at all. =\
