hey again everybody. I've been practicing my flipping quite often and have run into one problem I can quite work out with my 42. When I go to clean my knife I cant easily clean the pivots because I don't know hot to fully remove the blade from the handles. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Re: cleaning a 42
thanks alot! just out of curiosity would there be any less warranty voiding method to do this kind of thing? just wondering
Re: cleaning a 42
once you take the pivots out it voids your warrenty but with the 42 you dont even need one imo
Re: cleaning a 42
If the warranty was void would they still replace parts if you paid them?

yes
Re: cleaning a 42
there is no reason to take out the pivots for cleaning.... Taking it apart is generally not recommended unless you are replacing the washers or some other modification.

did you try adding some oil to the pivots? If not, squirt some 3-in-1 in the pivot area and see if it helps.

I believe dissembling in any way voids the warranty, so doing what you are asking (taking out the pivots and removing the blade) voids the warranty like others have said.
If you don't want to void the warranty/take apart the knife....you could try swishing the knife around in acetone and try cleaning the nooks and crannys with something like this:

Yep, nail polish remover works. I use rubbing alcohol
boil it if you really wanna loosen the dirt (works good for getting adhesive off from cutting tape and such)
you can get in around the pivots with a tooth brush
