BM 42's Pivot Pins

I need to remove my 42's handles, and of course I can't get the pivot pins out. I know the method of using a vice and a punch and a piece of wood with a hole in it, but unfortunately I lack a vice or a punch or a piece of wood with a hole in it. So does anyone have a method for removing the pivot pins in the 42 which involves more commonplace items and isn't just smashing the handles with a hammer until the pins fall out?

I grabbed a small nail that would go through the pin & hammer it out. It wasn't too hard

I lacked a vice too. Its what i did on my AA.

I've tried with a hammer and nail and tried hitting the nail pretty hard, and stayed at it for a while, and the pin wasn't loosened at all

Don't you guys run the risk of fucking up a perfectly good knife with plan B?

I flattened the head of the nail before I tried this, but uh, yes? Plan A may be better than plan B, but the point of plan B is that plan A isn't really an option. You got a plan C?
