Okay, I did some searching and found the threads I need but none of the videos work. Apparently they've all been removed from youtube. Anyway, I want to do a spring latch on my new Kimura 2. The only info I cn find is for the Kimura 1 that uses milled spacers insted of barrels. ANyone have any info on this?
Re: Kimura spring latch mod

The last one I saw had wire wrapped around the two spacers at the end of the handle, sort of like a figure 8, except with the top third of the 8 missing. The bits of wire sticking up acted as a spring. Hard to explain without pictures but its a simple idea and doesnt involve and tools other than a torx driver. The vid I saw of it looked like it worked well.

I was looking into doing this if I decide to get my hands on a Kimura IV. It would be kinda nice to see a spring latch on it so I don't have to worry about the darn thing flying around everywhere when trying to flip it. Props to whoever it was for the original idea.

Are you gonna make one? Because if you do, I doubt I will. Too much of a hassle.

Re: Kimura spring latch mod
A tutorial would be kick ass and much appreciated! On a side note, my Kimura 2 finally came in today and I must say that I am truly blown away by the quality. The first decent bali that I ever flipped was and original Jaguar classic back in the 90's. Then, a few months ago I got the Mtech twist which I thought was amazing. I absolutely can't believe how much better this knife is in every capacity. I just hope that Bradley keeps making them/having them made (hooray for Kershaw!).

Re: Kimura spring latch mod
Since I don't have a PS3 blu ray player, where can I get a spring like this?

Luke, did you even watch the video? Any spring will do, so long as it fits and it has some tension.
