Kershaw's warranty is amazing. Here's their contact info: http://www.kershawknives.com/contactus. ... nd=kershaw
Just let them know what happened and they will send you a new set of screws for the handles, free of charge. :TU:

Re: Latch screw broke off in the handle D:

put a nail thats small enough to fit through the hole & hammer the other half off.

Hit up kershaw & they will send you screws for free.

Flipping latch less is better anyways.

Yes kershaw's warranty department is good about taking care of something like this, but if you don't feel like mailing your knife off you can just run down to you local hardware store and get a tool called an "easy out". As far as how to use it . It works just like a drill bit , but instead of it drilling into it , it will grab into the broken off screw . Just make sure you go slow with it...
An unused knife is like a girlfriend that's not getting fucked, unhappy and neglected ..

Can I buy the same screws at a hardware store? They said it would take 4 weeks because I have to send the knife in. If I can buy these screws at a hardware stores, what should I be looking for?

Re: Latch screw broke off in the handle D:

You'd be looking for one thats the same size and length (unless your going to sand it down) as your original screw. If it were me I'd send it in because you broke your screw off inside the knife, and that seems like it'd be a hard problem to fix.

I'd assume they only asked for it because he broke his screw off in the hole.

Re: Latch screw broke off in the handle D:

I only told them that I stripped the screw and asked them to send me new ones that's it. The other half of the screw came out last Sunday.

Ah. I'm not sure why they'd ask for the knife then. You could always call them again and ask specifically for some replacement screws without having to send the knife in.

Re: [SOLVED] Latch screw broke off in the handle D:

They said it would ship in one to two business days and would take 7 to 10 business days but I'm fine for now. I don 't really need the latch a whole lot.
