If anyone has any questions feel free to post here and I'll answer, I'm going to be polishing the rest of the knife some other time. Enjoy.

Glad to see the knife is treating you well. I watched all of the vid, as I'm debating putting a bright mirror shine on a couple of my Spyderco's, but I've only been going up to 1200 grit up til now with subpar results. Your new Bali is looking excellent, but you should polish the rest of it, or at least the blade. The sides/insides of the handles would "pop" even moreso with a polished blade imo.

Polishing the blade is just such a bitch, and I cant get a near mirror finish with a 1000 grit, but going up to higher grits means less marks and more shine, just my opinion. I like the contrast on the handles too with the polished and bead blast, also the polish is quite slippery, I dont wanna do the handles on my main flipper right now, itll be like butter haha. The blade is just really annoying with the tang pins, if it had zen pins, no prob, but those tang pins are a bitch to polish around, same with thumbstuds haha

Very nice. I'm gonna try that on some of my handles.

also something you might want to try, I used polishing compound and my dremel with a selection of polishing wheels to repair the massive amounts of damage on the Arc Angel I bought from ArcbaliAngel. It really shines now.

How slippery does the polish make the handles? I was thinking about just polishing the sides of my Kimura handles but won't if it makes it hard to grip during twirls and such.

You get use to it, its not bad at all, if you can flip a 42, you can flip a polished kimmy

Great info. I am pretty sure I seen a bunch of Kimmies already polished from the factory for sale..for a bit more cash then normal models. I have been considering getting one and now, I am also considering polishing it.
Thanks for the info.
