both the ones i did took less than an hour each. The Blade is the hardest part. I found it kind of difficult to make the tang look as good as the rest of the blade (the tang pins kinda get in the way). Pretty simple though.

Both you guys' knives look great btw :TU:

Edit: Forgot to mention that i recently did something else to my twist. I rounded the spine like you would see on the 32 and 51. Makes it comfortable as hell. I used my handheld belt sander with a fairly high grit belt and finished it with 400 and 600 by hand. Took me a whopping 10 min. I've pretty much been flipping this thing more than anything else lately, because i like it so much.

Re: Customized Twist

Hey cja245, could you post some pics of that rounded spine modification you did?

I couldn't seem to get my camera to focus on it right, but i hope you can see it. I rounded right up to where the spine meets the horn. It looks a lot glossier than in the picture when you see it in person. It blends in nicely with the rest of the blade. I think it looks pretty professional considering that i used a hand held belt sander. I held the belt sander upside down in one hand and the knife in the other, rotating the knife back and forth evenly. Its actually pretty fun doing these modifications. I just wish i had some nicer tools to work with.

Re: Customized Twist

looks pretty good. i did the same thing to a CCC way back by hand. it was right after my buddy got his 32, and i loved the feel of the spine, so i had to try it on one of mine

Re: Customized Twist

looks good. I wonder how long that would take with a strip of sandpaper and a "shoe shine" technique. I'd be scared of fuckin something up if I tried with power tools.
