Beginner Mods

So i'm still new to the whole thing, but modding looks like so much fun
does any one have a suggestion for a modification that i could make, that won't cost too much?

Re: Beginner Mods

i've got a couple of ccc's um, here's a video with my knives:

i'm pretty good with my hands, i've done model rocketry for a while, did model railroading, built pinewood derby cars for 10 years
so, i've got just about every (reasonable) tool at home

Lucky you, my school blocks every thing and some things that actually STOP you from doing actual work.

Now, I'd start with the second one. I have that same one and it should be really simple to change ascetically

Re: Beginner Mods

I would say especially dealing with CCC's and there low price range, just give it a wild go. Maybe your idea will turn out and create something really sweet :D

More expensive mods are just that.... More expensive. One of our members is exploring mods on the BM 51 right now, and im really looking forward to what becomes of it

Re: Beginner Mods

Considering all of those are less than $20, I say go nuts. Pick up a file set, and practice filework on the blades or handles, grab some sandpaper or a grinder and crown a blade spine. Get some G10 or wood, and practice making your own inlays. Do whatever you think will look cool. I wouldn't recommend any mods to improve performance though. All of those knives will collapse under moderate flipping, and probably use.

Re: Beginner Mods

Yeah i would go crazy on those, i will probably do some testing mods when i get more money, considering i can get like 18 at the mall near my house each under 20 bucks, then some that are just over 20 that are a little nicer, and i will probably get a Bench Model 42 after i save up a ton.
Anyone know how to do a spring latch mod? My latch always gets in the way on my CCC :/
What the hell?

Re: Beginner Mods

There's a mod that cutlerylover did where he put an o-ring right below the pivot of the latch. It acts as a latch gate then.
