That's all you get for now. I have a slightly more detailed thread in BF, but not enough that it's worth registering if you're not a member.

I emailed asking for a tsunami blade with the handles, they said no problem just write in comments that the person who approved it said it was ok. I don't recommend doing it though, since they now hack off the tip of tsunami blades quite a bit, and it would take some serious regrinding to put it back, while keeping the curve of the blade, and keeping the swedge looking good.

Yes it is still in progress, but I am very busy, and I need to pick up some 80 grit sandpaper before I even consider starting again. The inserts they ship are at least 3 times the size they need to be, removing that with 220 grit sandpaper can literally take up to 8 hours.

Re: My tsunami

Sorry for the huge delay, I have still been working on this in my limited free time. I will start with some older pictures that I was just too lazy to post.

Just decided to snap a couple quick pictures of the knife assembled to remind me what I'm working towards.

More recently I sanded all the small parts, and the insides of the handles from 220, up to 2000, and then polished them up a bit with some turtle wax chrome and metal polish. I made sure the camera reflected nicely, but the finish is just so beautiful in person. I love the look of a mirror finish.

Re: My tsunami

Looking good. Do a short review/flipping vid when you're done.
