Up Armoring your Knives

I'm getting a new Kimura II soon, hopefully, and I was thinking of getting a knife up armored and thought this would be a good knife to try it on.
I was just wondering if anyone else has gotten a knife up armored, and your opinions.

Re: Up Armoring your Knives

I was thinking about up armoring my 42, but I just love the looks of it already and wouldn't want to end up disliking the coating, since it's permanent, and getting the 42 took me forever. A kimura is a nice knife, but if I end up disliking it I wouldn't feel as bad giving it up.

i wouldnt do it if it was my only 42 because if i had that it would be a collectors not a flipper,

i think any bali you get up-armored will be badass

Re: Up Armoring your Knives

I have to admit, the up-amoured Kimmys look sick, but as for up armor in general or most cases, not a fan really.

Re: Up Armoring your Knives

Im considering sending in my new Bradely Kimura V(Balisong) for a skull pattern job. I use it for flipping and self defense purposes and I was wondering what exactly does this do for my knife and how does it effect the flipping of the knife?

:yeah I know im awfully secific but thats what I WAS going to e mail the company.. decided to ask you guys first:
