Modifying a bm51 blade?

Hello everyone,

I'm thinking about purchasing a bm51.However, I do not like the spear point blade on the 51. I prefer the blade style as seen on the 42. My question is this, can I take a 51 to a workshop and tell them to reshape the blade so that the swedge is more flat like the 42.

Sorry if this is a duplicate, I tried searching...

thanks.

Matt Cook of Pinoy Knives can make you a blade or modify yours.

He is on blade Forums and i believe he goes by that screen name Pinoy knives.

He tried to sell me a knife but I didn't have Paypal set up, so that opportunity passed.

He's also on Jerzee Devil but I don't know his screen name there.

Re: Modifying a bm51 blade?

Tom Krein is another guy who makes the ultimate grinds on a blade. I have a knife sharpened by him and he sharpened the swedge, too. Scary sharp. I sold it to save my fingers.
