Typhoon

I started customizing the one I got from the FATOC. No huge modification for the moment, I simply cut off one of the ears (the one on the safe handle) cause it was too agresive for my fingers. Next step is handles engraving.

What pisses me off is the screws : when I flip, one goes loose and the other goes tighter. I can't loctite them as long as I need to bring the knife to pieces for customization.

Re: Typhoon

try using some teflon tape/ plumber's tape. it'll hold the screws in place, you don't have to wait for it to set and you can take the screws in and out a few times without having to re-apply it. and it costs like a buck or less

Re: Typhoon

cool, i'll try that. That would pisss me off not being able to flip it before I've finished, this knife flip very well, I'm even surprized there are not more flippers using it. It can be compared with the 42 (with more weight due to steel) for the balance.

Try either acid or laser etching. Acid is probably way more easy at home, I bet you could buy some sulfuric acid online pretty cheap. Actually you could try it w/ a drill, I just now thought of that lol. You could also send the blade/handle to a company to engrave them, I got my dad a laser engraved knife for Christmas.
its better to have flipped and lost than never to have flipped at all

Re: Typhoon

You know whats funny? I have an engraver at my house!!! My father used to own a trophy business. You could have gotten that shit for free. Oh well. Can't wait to see it finished though.
