I bought a pretty good CCC a few days ago but it was used and one of the handle screws came out. I like the way it flips but while im replacing the screws id like to replace the washers too. I see washers made out of teflon, brass, steel, ball bearings and nylon. Which ones should i use to get the smoothest and most reliable flip while staying cost effective?

Pho Bronze! Nylon isn't bad either. Phosphorous Bronze is supposedly one of the slickest materials available that I personally know of.

Yep, phosphor bronze is the way to go.

Buy sets in a couple of different sizes so you can get it just right the first time. If you buy them in bulk, you will get a better price per unit and you will have left overs for upgrading other knives as well.
