well if the 2 and 5 are the same with the Niolon patch thing then it should be ok

Yup. Nylon patch. Image

Probably looks like that. Not loctite, but a more durable type thing.

Your friend is an idiot, and there are already a few posts (recently) on this subject (regarding the Kimura, in fact!). Loctite it. I'm not going more in-depth, so feel free to use the search feature. That is all.

Re: Yes or no loc tite on the bradly kimura V

Had to loc-tite my kimura IV. Screws would not stay tight at all without it.

Re: Yes or no loc tite on the bradly kimura V

The only screws I would loc-tite are the small ones at the bottom of the handles near the latch. I had one come loose and it took me an age to find it in the carpet.

Don't fuck with the pivots unless they need doing.

Handle screws for sandwich design

So I have a BM 51 BK which I'm loving but it seems I need to constantly tighten the screws on the handles. I loctit'd the Pivot screws(?) but should I loctite the handle ones as well? It's kinda startin to piss me off.

Thanks.

Re: Handle screws for sandwich design

yes, i loctite all my screws when i get a new knife or things start happening to an old knife. loctite will solve it no problem. or you can continue to tighten constantly, your choice ...

Re: Handle screws for sandwich design

For pivots its kind of a preference thing, some people like being able to adjust how tight the pivots are. For the body screws however, Loctite is usually recomended so that they dont go flying out while flipping

Re: Handle screws for sandwich design

I've had a screw on my 51 fly out of the handle the first month I had it. I found the screw and locktited all of them and haven't had a problem since. I recommend that you locktite all of the screws, the handles down as tight as you can and the pivots to your desired play in the handles.

Kimura Screws Loosening

Hey guys. My Kimura 2 keeps loosening up when i flip it alot. I bought some of the blue lock-tite and put it on but it still loosens up. I thought about putting the red on but i figured i would get some other opinions on it. Its the kimura 2 special edition (polished metal) if it makes any difference. Thx
