How do they make the rainbow finish a'la Spyderfly?

Curious. What happens if it is scratched? Does it wear off? If so, how resistant?

I've decided I HAVE to get one (the rainbow Spyderfly) but was wondering just the same. BTW if you have one you'd be willing to part with, I'm willing to pay well. Thanks!

The gay pride version is worth more.

The gay pride version is the most fabulous knife around, you're just Jelous, Zach.

Also, I think it's a chemical treatment of the metal. Something to do with titanium...? To be frank I haven't the faintest clue.

They arent made of titanium, but if i had to guess it would be a chemical finish of some sort....and i imagine it could be scratched off with enough effort. I always thought they were kinda cool looking jus something unique. But this is coming from someone who payed the extra $ just to buy one of the polished kimuras, im sure lots of people have the opinion that was dumb...but i do like shiny and unique and im to lazy to do it myself! Its going to be hard to find one of the rainbow ones..its hard to find a regular one as it is. Some of the regulars had a thread with the contact info on a guy that had some forsale though if you look in the market, might still be available

It's only "worth more" because some people are willing to pay more.

VG-10 one is best

I got the "gay pride" one, mostly because I've got enough gray balis in my collection and wanted some color. Diversity you know :D Thanks all

...isn't that why anything is worth more?
