Is the 51 good for tricks like the helix or behind the eight ball?

anything can do a helix and bt8b if u practice. they are very simple. the helix is a bit tougher with a 51 though.

Honestly, when I did helixes with my 51, the only problem I had was that it'd move WAY faster than my 42, so my fingers couldn't keep up.
Once you get used to the speed, you'll be fine.

It may be a little frustrating at first. I was used to flipping my Kimura when i first got my 51, and when I was trying to do any kind of finger rollover manipulation I can remember getting really frustrated. Just be patient. After getting used to the 51, it's now one of my favorite knives to flip. The light weight just makes it really fun for aerials and twirls, and rollovers arent an issue anymore now that Im used to the weight.. Congrats, and have fun!

Yeah, that's the good thing about having a really sharp blade. It leaves a very clean cut, that will usually heal up pretty quickly. :TU: Happy flipping!

I love(d) flipping my BM51. Just like previously mentioned, rollovers were the hardest part for me to adapt to. Flipped it for 2 days. Then this happened while flipping

I'm still crying Q.Q It's gunna have to be sent back when my K5 gets here. Unless anybody has any great ideas of fixing it. That'd be awesome :P

Re: BM51 a bad flipper?

Theres no specific required size, when I came up with the mod I just went to my oring box at work and grabbed the thickest ones that fit tight on the handle ends. If you need to go and buy them I suggest just buying tons of em of various sizes as they are dirt cheap anyways.
